commander and bridge
assume posts
MORRIS
COUNTY, NJ (May
10, 2011) -- Lackawanna
Sail & Power Squadron, a
northern New Jersey-based
unit of the United States
Power Squadrons -- a
nationwide, non-profit
organization dedicated to
making boating safer and
more enjoyable by teaching
classes in seamanship,
navigation and related
subjects -- recently held
it's 53rd annual "Change of
Watch" ceremony.
During the event, held at
the Olde Mill Inn, Basking
Ridge, NJ, Commander J.
Kevin Wanner, Senior
Navigator, of South
Orange, NJ, vacated the
office of executive
officer and -- per the
outcome of a recent
election -- assumed
command. Past Commander
Steven L. Cohen, Summit,
NJ, Junior Navigator,
having vacated the
commander's office
following his one-year
term, now serves as Flag
Lieutenant.
In addition, the following
individuals assumed their
elected posts on the
2011-2012 squadron bridge:
